Start of training in 2026 at EICHLER

9 trainees are starting their careers

In September 2026, nine new trainees began their careers at EICHLER. Six of them are starting their trainings as electronics technicians for equipment and systems, two are beginning as office administration assistants, and one trainee is starting in the logistics department.

For our new colleagues, the start of their trainig is an important step: new responsibilities, new contacts, new processes and a company that will support them over the coming years. That is why, right from the start, the focus was not only on getting straight into the day-to-day work, but above all on ensuring they settled in well.

Settle in first, then get going

Starting a training brings with it a whole host of new experiences. Anyone joining a company for the first time needs to find their feet, lean people's names, understand the processes and get a feel of how the team works together. At EICHLER, we have therefore made a point of setting aside time to ensure that new training do no start out on their own at their workstation or desk straight away.

The first few days were designed to put people at ease, answer questions and make the transition into the company a tangible experience. After all, training does not just begin with the first technical task. It begins with becoming part of a team.

Nine new trainees across three departments

The 2026 intake of trainees is spread across technical, commercial and logistics sectors. The majority of the new intake are starting their training as electronics technicians for equipment and systems. This profession involves technical concepts, electronic assemblies, meticulous work and a good understanding of industrial electronics.

Two trainees are starting their office management training. This focuses on organisational tasks, communication, business processes and collaboration with various departments.

Another trainee is starting in the logistics department. This area is also vital to the day-to-day running of the business, as industrial electronics, spare parts, equipment and orders must be reliably moved, recorded and forwarded.

The first few days: orientation, team-building and insights

To kick things off, the new trainees were treated to a varied onboarding programme. This included team games, group challenges and a treasure hunt around the company. This allowed the new colleagues not only to familiarise themselves with the rooms, routes and areas, but also to strike up conversations with one another straight away.

A group lunch of pizza was also part of the programme. “It's moments like these that help people make initial connections and break down barriers. After all, anyone starting out has lots of questions - and it's easier to ask them in an open atmosphere”, says Elke Knieriemen, Head of Human Resources at EICHLER.

As well as getting to know one another, the trainees gained an initial insight into the various areas and departments. They met other trainees, trainers and colleagues from the company. The introductory session was rounded off with an insight into the company's culture and history, provided by the EICHLER management team.

Training means more than just studying and working

A training provides specialist knowledge, practical skills and professional experience. But it also means taking on responsibility, developing personally and finding one's place within the team.

At EICHLER, this philosophy is a key part of the start of the training. New trainees should understand how the company operates, how their department works, how other departments are involved, and why collaboration is crucial in day-to-day work.

Particularly in a technical environment, it is important that trainees do not just focus on individual tasks, but understand the bigger picture. What role does their own work play in the process? Who relies on what information? How do technology organisation and logistics interlock? The first few days provide an initial orientation in this regard.

A structured start helps new trainees to get to know the company, the people and the processes better. This gives them a sense of direction before their regular training routine begins.

Welome to the EICHLER team

With the start of the 2026 traning programme, a new chapter begins for our new trainees. Over the coming weeks and months, they will get to know their departments better, take on their first tasks and gradually settle into the day-to-day routine of the trainings.

We are delighted to welcome nine young colleagues to EICHLER and wish them all a great start, curiosity, perseverance and many valuable experiences.

Welcome to the EICHLER team!
