Siemens has announced the end-of-life for SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panels in the 6AV2124 series. The models affected include the KP400 Comfort, KTP400 Comfort, TP700 Comfort, KP700 Comfort, TP900 Comfort, KP900 Comfort, TP1200 Comfort, KP1200 Comfort, TP1500 Comfort, KP1500 Comfort, TP1900 Comfort and TP2200 Comfort.
For the 4"- bis 12" models, P.M 400 will apply from 1 February 2026. The 15"- bis 22" models have already reached this status since 1 October 2024.
P.M 400 stands for ‘Product Discontinuation Notice’. The panels are no longer actively marketed, but will initially remain available as new parts until the product is discontinued. At the same time, the ten-year spare parts commitment comes into effect.
Product discontinuation (P.M 410) is provisionally scheduled for December 2027. The spare parts phase will commence thereafter; new parts will then generally no longer be available as standard.
- Operators should now check the part numbers currently in use, their criticality and the migration effort involved. A coordinated approach combining repairs, replacement units, stockpiling and planned modernisation is advisable.
