SINUMERIK 840D sl – Product discontinuation as of 01/10/2024

The SINUMERIK 840D sl will transition to product status P.M410 as of October 1, 2024. This means that the controllers and their components will only be available as spare parts, and no new parts will be supplied. The product discontinuation follows 20 years of successful use on the market. 

With the introduction of SINUMERIK ONE, Siemens has provided a modern successor that not only offers higher performance and innovative features, but also the advantage of compatibility with the 840D sl. SINUMERIK ONE stands out for its ability to integrate the digital twin, which increases efficiency in machine manufacturing and boosts productivity. 

As of October 1, 2024, the following SINUMERIK 840D sl controllers and components will only be available as spare parts: 

These products will no longer be available as new parts after the discontinuation. In total, more than 650 assemblies are affected by this product status change. Siemens offers SINUMERIK ONE as the successor, featuring better performance, simplified programming, and extended functions.
