Eichler demonstrates true team spirit at the 17th Hardys City Run 2024: colleagues successfully tackle the 5 km and 10 km courses. A powerful event promoting health and solidarity!

Together to the finish line: Eichler runs for team spirit and health

On October 3, 2024, the moment had finally arrived: The Eichler GmbH team participated for the first time in the 17th Hardys City Run in the beautiful old town of Landsberg am Lech, full of enthusiasm. Under bright skies, seven runners took off together, tackling the 5-kilometer course — except for Dragan, who spontaneously decided to take on the 10-kilometer challenge. The focus was not just on the physical challenge but above all on team spirit and solidarity.

Team spirit and motivation: Eichler shows its best side

Early in the morning, the Eichler team gathered at the starting area, cheerful and full of anticipation. “It’s simply amazing how we come together as a team here and motivate each other,” says Stephi. For her, the run was quite a physical challenge: “I haven’t trained much, but we push each other — that gives you energy you can carry into your workday.”The 5 km course was a perfect start for many. “It was exactly the right challenge for me. The atmosphere was fantastic, and we all had a lot of fun,” shares Cordula.

Healthy, fit and full of energy

At Eichler, the focus is not only on technology but also on the health of our employees. “I run to clear my mind and stay fit,” says Erika, who discovered running through a company-organized running workshop. “Our coach showed us how to gradually improve even as beginners. By now, running has become a regular part of my daily routine, and it feels great,” Erika shares. The cross-departmental group run also strengthened social connections within the team. “It’s simply wonderful to experience colleagues in a different context and support each other,” says Alisa, who also completed the 5-kilometer course.

It's a great feeling to see the team overcome such challenges together. The solidarity and enthusiasm are truly impressive.

Sustainability in sports, too

As a sustainable company, the city run perfectly reflects Eichler’s values. “We don’t just live sustainability through our work, but also in our daily interactions,” emphasizes Alisa, who is also active in Eichler’s company football team, the “FC Kurzschluss.” “We don’t only take care of faulty technology, but also handle ourselves and our environment with care.”

Thomas Baier, Managing Director of Eichler, was proud of the team’s commitment: “It’s a great feeling to see the team overcome such challenges together. The cohesion and enthusiasm are truly impressive.” Not only the participants were excited, but also the spectators and colleagues along the route contributed to the special atmosphere. “It was incredibly motivating to be cheered on by so many people,” Marius said after the run.

The 17th Hardys City Run once again showed that Eichler is not only strong in automation technology but also a winning team. The event was a complete success and a wonderful example of how sporting ambition, health, and togetherness come together. The anticipation for the next city run is high – and one thing is certain: Together, the Eichler team is unbeatable! Whether as runners or spectators – everyone at Eichler contributed to the success. These experiences show that joint effort enriches not only the workday but also creates unforgettable moments in leisure time.

Since 2015, I have been working in marketing at EICHLER GmbH. Right at the start, I soldered a submitted S5 CPU module labeled “Made in Western Germany.” This experience sparked my enthusiasm for sustainability and repair in automation technology. Until 2024, I served as editor-in-chief of the customer magazine "News from maintenance", passionately reporting on people and solutions in industrial maintenance. In the new digital magazine, I now focus on Product Change Notifications (PCN) and Product Discontinuation Notifications (PDN).
