Welcome trainees! The start of training 2024

A warm welcome, dear trainees - the start of an exciting journey at EICHLER

It's that time again! EICHLER is delighted to welcome ten new trainees to the world of automation technology. With an exciting and varied programme, the newcomers began their journey into their professional future. The first few days were packed with great experiences that laid the foundation for strong friendships and a close-knit team spirit.

A warm welcome from all sides

On their very first day at EICHLER, the new trainees were treated to a real highlight: a personal welcome from the Managing Director and the department heads. With smiles on their faces and encouraging words, they declared: “A warm welcome to our team!” The excitement was tangible, as EICHLER sees its young talents as an important part of the company. Together, we strive to repair old equipment and avoid electronic waste - a field of work that is more relevant today than ever.

For Felix Günther, who has started his training as an electronics technician for devices and systems, the moment was particularly special: “It's great to know that you're supported from the very beginning and have the feeling that you truly belong.” His future colleagues, including Sebastian Kolberg and Zeynab Mousawi, nodded in agreement.

Team spirit with a scavenger hunt and get-to-know-you games

At EICHLER, great importance is placed on solidarity and teamwork. That's why the new trainees were given the chance to demonstrate their skills and team spirit straight away with a scavenger hunt through all departments. The scavenger hunt was not only a fun challenge, but also a fantastic opportunity to get to the difference areas of the company. “You learned playfully who is responsible for what. That was really exciting,” said Leon Reiter, who has started his training as a management assistant for office administration.

The icebreaker games in particular led to plenty of laughter and helped break the ice quickly. Under the guidance of experienced trainees and trainers, first contacts were made, and some even found a future colleague or break-time buddy on their very first day.

Food tastes best together - lunch as a way to connect

After all the action and first impressions, it was time for some refreshment. The shared lunch was not only a welcome break, but also an opportunity for the trainees to get to know each other even better. “You can immediately sense that there's a really pleasant atmosphere here. You're not just a number, but truly part of the team,” reported Sabine Stoller, who has started her training as a warehouse logistic specialist at EICHLER. The lively conversations and laughters showed that here, people don't just work together - they also share meals and enjoy a good laughter together.

Geocaching: Adventure in Landsberg

The highlight of the first days, was the exciting geocaching tour through the Landsberg area. Equipped with GPS devices and plenty of team spirit, the trainees set off in small groups to search for hidden treasures. “The tour was so much fun! It was a great mix of adventure and teamwork. You really had to rely on your team,” recalled Falko Popp, who has also started his training as an electronics technicians.

It wasn't just about sporting ambition - there was plenty of fun too. “I never thought I'd experience something like this during my training,” laughed Abbas Mousawi, whose team was the first to reach the finish.

A strong future at EICHLER

With these first days, EICHLER has laid the foundation for a successful training. The new trainees are motivated and looking forward to the challenges ahead. The company has managed to create an atmosphere in which everyone feels welcome and appreciated. “We place great importance on strong cooperation and good teamwork, because that is the only way we can be successful together,” emphasised Managing Director Thomas Baier during his welcome speech.

EICHLER shows that a training is more than just learning: it is about growing, learning, and experiencing together. For the new trainees, an exciting time full of opportunities is beginning. We wish everyone a fantastic time and much success!

About the author

Since 2015, I have been working in marketing at EICHLER GmbH. Right at the start, I soldered a submitted S5 CPU module labeled “Made in Western Germany.” This experience sparked my enthusiasm for sustainability and repair in automation technology. Until 2024, I served as editor-in-chief of the customer magazine "News from maintenance", passionately reporting on people and solutions in industrial maintenance. In the new digital magazine, I now focus on Product Change Notifications (PCN) and Product Discontinuation Notifications (PDN).
